ROACHDALE, Ind. -- Casey’s General Stores opened a new convenience store here this weekend, offering residents in the small town access to the retailer’s well-known homemade pizza and doughnuts, the Greencastle Banner-Graphic reported.

Casey’s markets itself toward smaller communities. Most of its stores sell freshly made pizza and doughnuts (over 27,000 pizzas and over 269,000 doughnuts per day, according to the company) in addition to gasoline and other convenience store products.

During the grand opening Saturday and Sunday, customers entered to win $500 worth of free gasoline. Specials on doughnuts and pizza, as well cookies and sub sandwiches were also available at the new store, located at 2 South Indiana St., the report stated.

Casey's operates c-stores throughout the Midwest, primarily in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Nebraska. The company is headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa.
