Worsley Cos., CITGO/Circle K Hold Fall Promotions

WILMINGTON, N.C./ TULSA, Okla. -- Perhaps in an effort to make nice with customers who suffered through a summer of record-high gas prices, Worsley Cos. and CITGO/Circle K are holding fall promotional programs.

Worsley Cos., which operates 135 Scotchman Convenience Stores and Young's Food Stores in North Carolina and South Carolina, has started its own presidential campaign poll.

At the coffee bars in the stores, customers will find wooden coffee stir sticks with BUSH and KERRY printed on the ends. Customers can choose their favorite candidate's stick and place their vote in the ballot boxes provided. Each week the votes for that store are posted on a tally board that hangs in the coffee shop. In addition, votes collected company wide will also be posted.

Also, from now until Oct. 8, the Great Gas Giveaway Prize Patrol will make random stops at CITGO/Circle K locations throughout South Texas. Drivers should be on the lookout for the Prize Patrol team, who will award the gas prizes to the first 24 customers who participate in a random drawing conducted on-site during the visit. During each Prize Patrol stop, one customer will win a $100 CITGO cash card while 23 others will win cash cards ranging from $10 to $25.
