Tedeschi Food Shops Get Rockin’ & Roastin’

BOSTON -- Rock legend Joey Kramer, drummer for Aerosmith, is "Rockin’ & Roastin’" with New England convenience store chain Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. The company is the first c-store retailer to carry Kramer’s organic coffee line.

“Tedeschi Food Shops and Aerosmith share a common denominator with their respective legacies and Massachusetts roots," said Peter Tedeschi, president and CEO. "We pride ourselves on providing our customers with convenient, quality products and Joey’s coffee is definitely a chart-topper."

Kramer's Rockin’ & Roastin’ brand is developed in partnership with North Andover, Mass.-based Comfort Foods. The company roasts, packages and distributes the trio of small-batch brews: two Dark roasts from Sumatra and Ethiopia, and one Dark-Medium roast from Guatemala.

Previously available only for online retail, the Rockin’ & Roastin’ line is now being made available by Comfort Foods to the retail and hospitality markets. The coffee is currently offered in both whole-bean and ground forms. Kramer plans to soon unveil a single-serving option as well.

Select Tedeschi Food Shops locations are carrying the brand. Based in Rockland, Mass., the chain operates nearly 200 convenience stores throughout the New England region.

“Spending most of my life in New England, I used to frequent Tedeschi’s on a regular basis,” said Kramer. “Tedeschi’s has been around for decades and remains a family-owned business, which is my plan for Rockin’ & Roastin.'”
