    Speedway on 'Quest to Refresh' This Summer

    Digital game awards badges for private label purchases.

    ENON, Ohio — Speedway LLC is on the “Quest to Refresh” this summer.

    From May 1 through July 31, the convenience store retailer is ushering shoppers into stores with an online game incentivizing purchases of its private label products. Digital badges are given to Speedway Rewards cardholders for actions like:

    • Purchasing Speedway’s proprietary Speedy Freezes, Speedy Tea, fountain drinks, prepared food items, or Speedy Choice packaged snacks;
    • Buying a certain combination of the aforementioned products; or
    • Making qualifying purchases on certain dates, or during certain times of day.

    The retailer awards varying Speedy Rewards points for every five badges obtained. Cardholders can opt in to play online or through the Speedway mobile app.

    Speedway is advertising the promotion instore through window and soda fountain clings and online through social media.

    Last summer, the convenience store chain ran a similar promotion that also awarded badges, but focused instead on getting shoppers to visit as many store locations as possible as part of a “road trip challenge.”
