Sapp Bros Increases Beverage Sales by 12 Percent

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. -- Sapp Bros Travel Center can thank RTC’s BevTrac shelf management system for its 12 percent sales increase at its Salt Lake City location.

Sapp Bros rolled out the environmentally friendly shelf management system earlier this year to better merchandise coolers in the travel center, which serves truckers and travelers 24/7, explained Aubrey Avalos, Sapp Bros store manager.

"BevTrac’s glide system ensures beverages are always front facing, allowing our employees to focus their efforts on other functions," Avalos said in a statement. "Additionally, the clear track enables customers to easily see what beverages are available for purchase, making the entire category extremely shoppable for consumers and increasing our sales."

During the first six months of 2008, use of BevTrac generated an average sales lift of up to 10 percent for retailers in the c-store and grocery channels, noted Avalos. RTC will be showcasing the BevTrac shelf management system at the NACS Show in Chicago, October 4-7.
