Rutter's Cuts the Ribbon on First Beer Cave Store

YORK, Pa. — Rutter's will welcome customers to its first beer cave when it opens its latest convenience store in Mercersburg this week.

The store on North Main Street will open on Oct. 11, with a grand opening celebration set for 2 to 4 p.m.

Customers will be able to stop by and try samples from Rutter's award-winning food menu, gourmet coffee bar, Rutter's dairy products, and snag some giveaways.

Rutter's first beer cave will feature a variety of craft, import, and domestic beers and ciders in singles and six packs. The beer cave also comes in at a low 29 degrees to already give customers chilled beer, according to the retailer.

"With each one of our new stores, we like to have a grand opening event to be able to interact with our customers. This grand opening will also be a first for us to have a beer cave. We believe this is a great opportunity for customers to come out and see the convenience Rutter's is able to provide for them," said Derek Gaskins, Rutter's chief customer officer.

York-based Rutter's operates more than 65 stores in Pennsylvania.
