Quick Chek Named a Best Place to Work in New Jersey

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBiz, the Garden State's leading business publication, during an award ceremony Thursday, April 22, according to the company.

"Being an outstanding place to work is at the cornerstone of Quick Chek's mission and core values," said Bob Graczyk, vice president of human resources for the convenience store chain. "We pride ourselves in creating an environment where our team members not only like their work, but like those they work with along with the customers they serve."

The weekly business journal's Best Places to Work survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in New Jersey, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 55 companies split into two groups: 30 medium-sized companies (25-249 employees) and 25 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). Quick Chek has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the large category.

"Becoming one of NJBiz's Best Places to Work in New Jersey validates this commitment to our more than 2,600 employees as we continue our work to provide our customers with fresh food choices, outstanding coffee and a dedicated staff of customer service representatives who create an inviting atmosphere in all of our stores," said Graczyk.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 55 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics -- worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience -- worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation.

The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process. Additionally they analyzed the data provided and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
