Pop-Tarts Joins 7-Eleven's Slurpee Celebration

IRVING, Texas — Kellogg's Pop-Tarts is joining in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Slurpee with a "Crazy Good" party.

Now through Nov. 11, 7-Eleven customers can try the first-ever Slurpee birthday Pop-Tarts.

"Slurpee and Pop-Tarts are two of America's most fun food and beverage brands," said Kathy Hasty, 7-Eleven senior product director. "These two high-spirited brands have an unmistakable draw, and they make people smile. Pop-Tarts brings a fresh element of fun to our year-long Slurpee-bration, and I think Slurpee-lovers will be in for a sweet surprise when they open a package. We want to thank Kellogg for extending our party to Pop-Tarts."

Limited Edition Printed Fun Pop-Tarts are available in Frosted Strawberry and Frosted Blueberry varieties. After being unwrapped, the Pop-Tarts reveal images of the Crazy Good Pop-Tart characters and Slurpee birthday messages. 

"The silly antics and attitudes of our Crazy Good characters delight consumers and take this Slurpee collaboration to a whole new level," said Gavin Bowyer, senior marketing director, Kellogg's.

Consumers can continue enjoying the Slurpee Fiftee Party with a Crazy Good Slurpee 50 Game, a scratch-and-win game that gives them the chance to with $50 7-Eleven gift cards.

"Fifty years is a milestone for any brand, and the entire Kellogg's team encourages all Americans to join the celebration with Slurpee drinks and Pop-Tarts," Bowyer added.
