McDonald's New York Tri-state Restaurants Introduce McCafe

ROSELAND, N.J. -- McDonald's New York Tri-state restaurants are officially adding McCafe espresso-based coffees to its beverage line-up, the company stated. The new McCafe specialty beverage line is now rolling into participating McDonald's restaurants in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-state area and will be widely available in the market by May 5.

McCafe features hot and iced lattes, mochas and cappuccinos in a variety of flavors and can be made to order with Caramel, Hazelnut, Vanilla and sugar-free Vanilla syrups, with either whole or non-fat steamed milk.

McCafe specialty coffee is available in 12, 16 or 22 ounces with prices varying by restaurant.

"New Yorkers are quintessential coffee and specialty beverage drinkers. McCafe specialty drinks were created with the taste buds and convenience of our customers in mind," Paul Hendel, president of the New York Tri-state Area McDonald's Owners and Operators Association, said in a statement. "We're a place that consumers equate with the great food they love. With McCafe, we are reinforcing McDonald's as a great specialty drink destination with the quality and value New York Tri-state consumers demand."

McCafe, part of McDonald's goal to offer premium quality products with the convenience only McDonald's can provide, follows the successful launches of McDonald's Premium Roast Coffee, brewed Iced Coffee and Sweet Tea.

McCafe products include:

-- Iced Mochas: feature espresso, cold whole or non-fat milk, and chocolate syrup served over ice. These drinks are topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

-- Lattes: feature espresso and whole or non-fat steamed milk, with the option to add Caramel, Hazelnut, Vanilla or sugar-free Vanilla syrups.

-- Iced Lattes: espresso-based drinks with cold whole or non-fat milk and served over ice. Iced lattes are available with syrup options of Caramel, Hazelnut, Vanilla or sugar-free Vanilla.

-- Cappuccinos: composed of espresso, whole or non-fat steamed milk, and topped with frothy milk. McCafe cappuccinos are available with Caramel, Hazelnut, Vanilla or sugar-free Vanilla syrups.

-- Mochas: espresso, whole or non-fat steamed milk and chocolate syrup, topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
