Mac's & Xyience to Host MMA Star Autograph Signing

TORONTO, Canada -- Mac's Convenience Stores is partnering with XYIENCE, maker of Xenergy, to host an autograph signing with mixed martial arts (MMA) icon Frank Mir. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion will visit the chain's store at 144 Dundas Street West.

The signing event will take place Thursday, April 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and kick off an exciting UFC weekend in Toronto that includes UFC Fan Expo at the Direct Energy Centre in Ontario on April 29-30, and UFC 129 St. Pierre vs. Shields at the Rogers Centre on April 30.

Starting Sunday, April 24, Mac's will launch a weeklong social media contest where the grand-prize includes a pair of tickets to UFC 129. MMA fans are being encouraged to join Mac's on Facebook and to follow the convenience store chain on Twitter.

Mac's Convenience Stores Inc. is part of Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., which operates a network of 5,904 convenience stores, 4,178 of which include motor fuel dispensing. The stores are operated by 12 business units, including nine in the United States covering 42 states and the District of Columbia, and three in Canada covering all 10 provinces.
