CSNews Hosts Third Annual Forecast Council

NEW YORK--Some of the industry’s leading retailers assembled in the New York offices of Convenience Store News Wednesday for the third annual CSNews Industry Forecast Council meeting. The Forecast Council meets each year to review figures compiled by CSNews and its data partners on the state of the overall industry, as well as key categories.

Working this year with Maureen Maguire, founder and president of ThinkResearch, the Industry Forecast for 2006 includes past-year and projected sales and volume data on motor fuels, cigarettes/OTP, beer/malt beverages, packaged beverages and confectionery. Other research partners include ACNielsen, TDLinx and McLane Co. Final results of the forecast will be published in our Jan. 16 issue.
