C-stores Offering Energy in a New Form

ALBANY, N.Y. – Convenience stores offer customers a wide variety of products to help boost energy. The latest is a caffeine-delivering nasal spray that has started to appear in hundreds of independent c-stores.

Turbo Snort nasal spray launched just last month on the Internet, but the product is already available in more than 500 c-stores, according to manufacturer GSC Products LLC. The three-year-old company said an average of 25 new stores throughout the United States are carrying it every week.

Touted by GSC as the "world's first caffeinated nasal spray," Turbo Snort delivers the benefits of caffeine without any unwanted side effects, said company CEO Wayne Perry.

"By delivering caffeine through the nose, it bypasses the systemic processes that break down orally ingested products," he explained. "Energy drinks give you a speedy buzz with a big crash and no middle ground because they deliver large doses of caffeine. The true benefits of caffeine are actually on the low end of the scale when it comes to effective mental alertness and concentration. With a nasal spray, only small doses are needed to get big results."

According to GSC Products, Turbo Snort provides only one milligram of caffeine per serving, but the effect is felt quickly. In addition to caffeine, Turbo Snort contains creatine, taurine, glutamine and herbal extracts, such as guarana, kola nut and green tea.

Turbo Snort is designed for caffeine enthusiasts, from occasional coffee drinkers to frequent consumers, said GSC Products.
