Anheuser-Busch to Appoint New U.S. President

ST. LOUIS -- A new president is on tap at Anheuser-Busch. InBev Current President Dave Peacock is resigning and will be replaced by Luiz Edmond, according to Advertising Age.

The magazine obtained a memo that the Anheuser-Busch InBev U.S. division sent to its distributors yesterday. According to the memo, sent by Edmond, Peacock will retain an advisory role at A-B.

"Dave's experience and knowledge will continue to be valued in his new advisory role, helping with strategic decisions," the memo said, as reported by Ad Age. "Dave has built a strong, talented team of people who are well equipped to carry the business forward; poised for great things."

Peacock, a 20-year veteran at A-B, was one of the few holders following its purchase by Belgian-based InBev in 2008. According to the news outlet, A-B InBev's U.S. division has lost market share during the last few years due to the difficult environment and staunch opposition from spirit manufacturers.

Edmond, a Brazilian citizen who has quickly risen through A-B InBev's ranks, will retain his role as zone president as well as taking over U.S. operations.
