7-Eleven Stores Turn Over a New Leaf

NEW YORK -- Convenience store retailer 7-Eleven Inc. is now carrying New Leaf Tea in 280 of its convenience stores in the metro New York area, including 180 stores on Long Island and 100 stores across Brooklyn, Bronx, Suffern and Queens, according to New Leaf Brands, a wholly owned subsidiary of Baywood International Inc.

The product reaches 7-Eleven stores through Manhattan Beer Distributors, one of New York's largest beer distributors, which markets beer and non-alcoholic beverages throughout 15 counties in the metro New York area.

"We are excited at Manhattan Beer to extend our portfolio with 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven is a great chain and we are now selling one of our top non-alcoholic brands with the introduction of New Leaf Tea," stated Bob McGetrick, general manager of Manhattan Beer Long Island. "We have done very well with New Leaf in the independent markets, and we expect solid results from this latest authorization at 7-Eleven."

Founded in 2004 in Orangeburg, N.Y., New Leaf Brands was created to provide consumers with healthy beverages. New Leaf Tea was the company's first product, and is now available in 14 flavors in more than 8,000 outlets including restaurants, delis, pizzerias and other retail establishments.
