7-Eleven Gives Free Coffee to Local Northeast Communities

NEW YORK -- 7-Eleven and its employees helped make the holidays festive for their local Long Island communities by providing 375 free cases of Heavenly Blend Coffee to churches, temples and houses of worship as a gift to the local communities, the company reported.

Pick-up took place yesterday at the 7-Eleven store located at 2397 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, and the first 100 representatives were treated to a free case of Heavenly Blend coffee cups.

"We thought this would be a wonderful way to give a gift to the local communities on Long Island," explained Bonnie Grube, Northeast Coffee Merchandiser for 7-Eleven. "With today's economic situation, this is one small way we can support the efforts of those who work within our communities."

In addition, there was an appearance by a "celebrity angel," Mrs. New York America 2006/2007 Lidia Szcepanowski-Goldsmith.

"This is a wonderful opportunity which makes a remarkable difference in the lives of others," she said.

7-Eleven stores are part of the neighborhood and committed to serving the changing needs of its customers. Being a good neighbor and corporate citizen is part of doing business at 7-Eleven, and the company is proud of its long history of supporting local neighborhoods in meaningful ways through numerous community relations initiatives.
