7-Eleven Gets Summer Started With SlurpFREE Day

DALLAS -- 7-Eleven Inc. is kicking off summer a little early with tomorrow's SlurpFREE Day promotion. The convenience store chain will offer free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drinks from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time at participating locations.

One main focus during SlurpFREE Day will be to promote 7-Eleven's new sugar-free, Slurpee Lite lower-calorie beverages. The Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango flavor just launched nationwide.

The c-store retailer will also launch its "Flavors of Summer" marketing campaign as part of tomorrow's promotion.

"For Slurpee fans who want to try our new Slurpee Lite drink, SlurpFREE Day is the perfect time to do so," said Laura Gordon, 7-Eleven's vice president of brand innovation. "Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango flavor is a delicious preview of what's in store this summer."

In the coming months, the c-store chain will add Slurpee Lite Fanta Watermelon Lime to its frozen beverage lineup. In July, Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Strawberry Banana and Fanta Lemon Crème flavors will be featured. August will bring Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Cherry Limeade and Fanta Orange Xplosio to 7-Eleven's Slurpee offering.
