President Clinton Gives World View at NACS Show

General session speaker closes the convention with a discussion on how the convenience store industry should face the future.

LAS VEGAS -- The 2009 NACS Show drew to a close Friday, but not without another day full of learning and networking.

That morning, Sonja Hubbard, outgoing NACS Chairman and CEO of Texarkana, Texas-based E-Z Mart Stores Inc., passed the gavel to incoming chairman Jay Ricker, president of Ricker Oil.

Following that, closing general session speaker Bill Clinton, the 42nd U.S. president, gave a jam-packed room of attendees a world view on healthcare, education and the economy, as well as ideas on how the convenience store industry should prepare for the future.

And the day's scans were tallied in the New Product Showcase, which revealed the top 10 new products showcased at the 2009 NACS Show that day.

Meanwhile, new members to NACS' executive committee, board of directors and supplier board were elected.
