PowerBar and 2K Sports Team for Sweepstakes

Energy bar maker PowerBar and 2K Sports, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., have launched the PowerBar Triple Threat and 2K Sports 3-Point Play Sweepstakes.

The national online consumer promotion tipped off in October in conjunction with PowerBar's new Triple Threat line of energy snack bars. Hoops fans can visit www.3ptplay.com to enter for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including a three-city NBA tour.

Promoted via a national media campaign and on the PowerBar Triple Threat packaging, the 3-Point Play Sweepstakes will award one grand prize winner with a spring 2006 trip for three to attend three regular season NBA games in three cities. Ten first-prize winners will receive a library of 2K Sports' video games titles and 20second-prize recipients will win a supply of PowerBar Triple Threat product and 2K Sports' NBA 2K6 and College Hoops 2K6 games. Online entries will be accepted through Jan. 31, 2006, and winners will be randomly selected and announced in February 2006.

The national sweepstakes is one component of the PowerBar Triple Threat and 2K Sports 3-Point Play marketing program, which is designed to fuel the competitive spirit among hoops fans and the online video gaming community. In addition to the promotion, the program also includes a national online leaderboard competition--a combination of online ranking points from both NBA 2K6 and College Hoops 2K6 games--and free NBA 2K6 unlockable codes available via www.3ptplay.com. PowerBar Triple Threat branding also is integrated into the NBA 2K6 game with fun, relevant value-add features to provide an opportunity for both core and casual gamers to interact with the PowerBar brand.

Triple Threat bars offer 16 vitamins and minerals and a balance of carbohydrates, protein and fiber. The PowerBar Triple Threat line consists of four bars offered in both crispy and chocolate-caramel-layered textures.
