Pilot Flying J Selects Complete NCR Retail POS Solution

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J will implement a complete NCR Corp. retail point-of-sale (POS) solution.

The Knoxville, Tenn.-based travel stop operator is upgrading from a legacy transaction solution to a NCR software suite. According to NCR, the omni-commerce software platform streamlines deploying and managing in-store, mobile commerce and online storefront systems, ensuring consistent and personalized shopping experiences across all customer touchpoints.

"We are a driver-driven organization and as such, we are always looking for ways to add speed and simplicity for drivers whether they are fueling, eating at our restaurants or shopping in our storefronts," said Ken Parent, executive vice president at Pilot Flying J. "NCR's complete retail solution allows us to stay ahead of the industry for years to come and remain committed to providing exceptional services for our professional truck drivers and other valued customers."

At first, Pilot Flying J will utilize the NCR solution to offer customer-assisted checkout in its storefronts, as well as mobile POS.

"Pilot Flying J, with its multiple customer touchpoints in fueling, dining and general retail, is the perfect environment for a complete NCR software and hardware retail solution," said Dale Grant, vice president of global sales for NCR Retail. "Our focus in working with Pilot Flying J is to make the everyday easier for its employees and valued professional driver customers."
