Pilot Flying J Doubles Down on Loyalty

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J is showing its appreciation to customers by doubling the points awarded in its MyRewards program.

"Not only do we want to reward our loyal customers for their patronage, we want to demonstrate our industry-leading appreciation to the hardworking and inspiring drivers who keep this country moving," said Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam.

The double reward points promotion is going on through May 31 at all Pilot Flying J locations nationwide. To earn double points, drivers can swipe their MyRewards card at the pump and when making in-store purchases, including food and beverages.

The offer comes as Pilot Flying J is facing legal woes resulting from alleged rebate fraud. The FBI and Internal Revenue Service raided the company's Knoxville headquarters on April 15 after filing a 120-page affidavit outlining the allegations. Several trucking companies filed lawsuits against Pilot Flying J in the wake of the allegations.

Haslam has said the company is cooperating with federal officials, adding that it is taking several steps to address several issues that came to light as a result of the investigation.

Pilot Flying J is a family-owned business that was started by Haslam's father in 1958. The company operates more than 650 retail locations and is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America.
