WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Petro Stopping Centers (Petro) and TravelCenters of America (TA) brands overwhelmingly dominated "Voted Best" categories in an independent driver survey conducted by Overdrive Magazine, the company reported.
"Drivers are perceptive and very honest." said Tom O'Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters of America. "They know where they need to go to be treated with more respect, whether that's through better amenities and services or by friendlier employees. As we like to say, full-service is 'at your service' and drivers clearly see and feel the difference."
Drivers participated in a similar survey every year since 2007, and the 2010 survey, with 697 drivers responding, was expanded to include several new categories. Of the 28 categories in the survey, Petro was rated No. 1 in 15 areas, while TA was rated highest in six. Joint branded programs like UltraOne and RoadSquad were ranked first in two categories.

These latest Overdrive driver survey results also reflect the overwhelming positive driver response to many new TA and Petro initiatives including new showers, the introduction of the UltraOne rewards program, remodeled restaurants, new better-for-you restaurant menus, significant employee service training and other enhancements completed or in progress throughout 2010.
