ATLANTA— Petro-Canada has selected Radiant Systems Inc.’s customer self-service food ordering and drive-through point of sale solutions for its Neighbours locations.

"Radiant’s Customer Self-Service solution puts the consumers in complete control of the details of their food orders and allows our staff to focus on friendly service and preparing excellent meals."
Neighbours stores use the Customer-Self Service and integrated Kitchen Production System to let customers place orders for a range of food items, including specialty products. The system will be deployed at its drive-through locations.
Radiant Systems has deployed more than 5,000 customer self-service ordering kiosks with top convenience retailers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, streamlining made-to-order sandwich programs, specialty coffee offerings, and a wide variety of other complex menus, according to Jimmy Frangis, Radiant's vice president of global petroleum and convenience retail division.
In other technology news, Sheetz Inc. has completed its roll out of RedPrairie Site Operations to direct activities in more than 350 stores. The solution was originally adopted to assist the company in gaining a single, chainwide window into all aspects of site operations, including cash management, invoicing, and foodservice and inventory management.
"The RedPrairie system has allowed us to improve how we manage our store and foodservice operations," said Jim Wenner, Sheetz information technology director. "We are now able to pinpoint issues at the corporate, store or item level."
"Anyone that has been in a Sheetz store and experienced their Made-to-Order food knows that Sheetz is much more than a convenience store," said RedPrairie CEO Mike Mayoras. "I am confident our Site Operations solution has and will continue to improve their bottom line, increase efficiency in their business across the board, and improve their customers’ experience."
