The Hershey Co. announced the election of Alfred F. Kelly, Jr., group president, American Express Co., to its board of directors.
Richard H. Lenny, chairman, president and CEO of Hershey, said: "Al's proven leadership and vast experience across diverse consumer segments and in building global brands at such a well-regarded company as American Express will be of great value as we continue to build Hershey's leadership position. We're pleased to welcome Al and know that he will be an excellent addition to Hershey's board of directors."
First Data Corp. hired Robert Murtagh as vice president vertical market specialist for the petroleum industry.
"Bob will provide strategic and client centric input into the products and services that are being developed and delivered by First Data," said Barry McCarthy, senior vice president of First Data’s product portfolio. "Our organization is focused on developing the right products and services that bring long-term value to our clients. Bob brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the petroleum industry and as a former client of First Data, he brings a unique perspective."
Murtagh joins First Data from ConocoPhillips, where he was director, credit card pperations and responsible for credit policy, fraud prevention, strategic planning and vendor management. Prior to that he spent more than 25 years with Unocal, Tosco and Phillips 66 in various management positions.
Poore Brothers Inc. named Steve Sklar senior vice president of marketing.
Sklar will assume a key leadership role within Poore Brothers in helping to formulate the brand and product strategies to achieve the company's goals of being a $200 million marketer of innovative food brands.
