    Retalix USA names Piner convenience distribution segment director; ERI adds Carpenter to its executive recruiting team.

    PLANO, Texas -- Retalix USA's Tad Piner has been appointed convenience distribution segment director. He will head the convenience distribution segment operations across all Retalix USA departments to address the business needs of c-store operators and distributors.

    "The opportunity for the convenience segment to benefit from the Retalix solution offering is rich and we are committed to addressing the business imperatives of c-store operators and distributors," Piner said. "I'm very excited about this new assignment. We are positioned to leverage the leading edge technology Retalix offers, and bring significant value to the operations of both retailers and distributors in this growing segment."

    Piner has 17 years experience in convenience distribution and retail operations. He was at Southco Distributing for 14 years managing their IT department. Piner has a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology from the School of Technology and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a Minor in Business Administration.

    In other People News , Energy Recruiters Inc. (ERI) added Mason Carpenter to its executive recruiting team. Mason will be serving ERI clients in the convenience retailing and consumer products goods industries.

    "Mason's corporate and entrepreneurial background is a great resource for ERI's clients," said Chris McAuliffe, ERI's president and CEO. "Our organization is built on service, and Mason's execution in recruiting the strongest marketplace talent will please our clients."

    Mason's first career in the international airline industry spanned 20 years. Mason's leadership in sales, operations and customer service greatly benefited his clients when he became a successful entrepreneur in travel agency franchise operations and ownership, ERI said.
