    Management changes take place at VERC Enterprises, car wash manufacturer Mark VII, e-cigarette maker NJOY, and supply company Tailor Made Distribution.

    JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- VERC Enterprises , a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with 23 locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, named Juan Cruz the manager of its Neponset Gulf location in Dorchester, Mass. With more than 20 years of experience in store management, Cruz has been with VERC Enterprises for the past five years.

    He rose to the position of manager at the company's Lynnfield, Mass., location prior to being named manager of the Neponset store. In addition, Inez Coleman, a seven-year veteran of VERC Enterprises, was promoted from assistant manager to manager of the company's Lynnfield Gulf & Dunkin' Donuts location.

    In other people news, Murray Kennedy resigned from his position as CEO of Mark VII Equipment Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany, a supplier of vehicle cleaning systems worldwide. Murray will be leaving the company for a new opportunity in a different industry, effective Sept. 2.

    Steve Jeffs has been named the new president and CEO of Mark VII. He has been serving as Mark VII's vice president of sales and service for four years. Rainer Springs, one of the most experienced managers from WashTec's European organization, has accepted the role of COO. He will contribute his extensive experience related to service and operations management to support the growth of the company, which has a global installed base of more than 30,000 units.

    Tailor Made Distribution (TMD), a national supply chain company based in Alpharetta, Ga. , also named a new president and CEO. Dan Foster, a proven foodservice industry leader, began his career in 1974 with PYA/Monarch and has worked throughout the Southeast in various divisional and corporate leadership positions. Most recently, he served U.S. Foodservice as the Lakeland, Fla., division president.

    Tailor Made Distribution assists multi-unit foodservice operators in developing and managing supply chain solutions to meet the complex needs of their unique businesses.

    Also on the manufacturer side, Sottera Inc., maker of the NJOY electronic cigarette brand, named Vito Maurici to its U.S. sales team as senior vice president of sales and distribution. Reporting to Roy Anise, executive vice president, Maurici will be responsible for further accelerating the growth of the NJOY brand both nationally and globally.

    Maurici has 16 years of combined experience at Altria, formerly Philip Morris Cos. Inc., where he recently held the position of vice president of sales for the southwest region in Dallas. In that role, he was responsible for significant growth of Altria's business, sales team and key customers.
