PCATS EB2B Motor Fuels Working Group Elects New Chairman

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Brian Reynolds, director of fuel solutions at The Pinnacle Corp., was elected chairman of the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS) EB2B Motor Fuels Working Group.

In this role, Reynolds will provide leadership and guidance to the group in their efforts to promote electronic communication between retail fuel buyers, suppliers and the delivery vendors.

"I'm excited to be appointed to this position within such a group," Reynolds said in a released statement. "I look forward to tapping into my industry experience and knowledge and joining forces with all members of this group to improve efficiencies in our industry."

The EB2B Motor Fuels Working Group promotes electronic communication between retail fuel buyers, suppliers and delivery vendors to manage fuel inventory levels, improve speed of response to demand changes, provide speed of order placement, manage fuel pricing and monitor competitor pricing.

The Motor Fuels Working Group established the standards currently implemented by retailers, jobbers and major oil companies using bills of lading, electronic funds transfers, credit card settlements, invoices and fuel pricing.

The committee's focus for 2010 includes:
-- Developing use cases for existing wholesale fuel and distribution standards
-- Refining existing standards as needed to ease implementation
-- Developing use cases for retail fuel price management and competitive price collection
-- Define an implementation roadmap for new standards

"I'm looking forward to working with Brian," Scott Wood, executive director of PCATS, said in a released statement. "Pinnacle has been a big supporter of PCATS and has been instrumental in the development of many of our standards. Brian's leadership will help us further develop our motor fuel standards to solve new integration issues for the industry."
