    Parker's Breaks Ground on Newest Location

    Chain's 28th location will open this November in Garden City, Ga.

    SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker's recently broke ground on its latest state-of-the-art convenience store in Garden City, Ga. Located at 4219 Augusta Road, the 4,000-square-foot store is Parker's 28th location and is expected to open its doors in November 2012.

"We're delighted to open a new location in Garden City, where we received a number of requests from customers who live there. We hope our latest store will exceed customers' expectations, delivering competitively priced gas, the products customers want most and our signature attention to detail."

    Parker's will offer its 1-Cent Wednesday 'Fueling the Community' program at the new location. On the first Wednesday of each month, the company sets aside one cent from every gallon of gasoline purchased to donate to local schools.

    The new location will also participate in the company's PumpPal program, which offers discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased to more than 50,000 program members.

    Parker's operates 27 c-stores in South Carolina and southeast Georgia with plans to open new locations in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort Counties.
