Parker's Awards Electric Guitar to June Text Contest Winner

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Parker's recently presented a new Monster electric guitar to the winner of the Parker's June Text Contest. Gregg Geiger of Pooler, Ga., a 50-year-old father, entered the contest after seeing a promotional poster at the contest.

"This guitar has definitely found a good home," said Geiger. "I love music and my daughter plays guitar."

Customers are encouraged to enter the monthly contest by texting a specific number to automatically enter the giveaway. The contest is promoted at all area Parker's stores as well as on the company's social media channels, according to the announcement.

The convenience store chain is currently conducting a July Gas Giveaway, through which customers have the chance to win $50 in free gasoline every day this month. In August, Parker's will offer rotating prizes and merchandise as part of the ongoing Parker's Text Contest.

"This is just one of many ways we want to reward our customers for their loyalty," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos. "We truly appreciate our customers and enjoy finding creative ways to give back to express our gratitude."

Parker's operates 27 c-stores in South Carolina and southeast Georgia with plans to open new locations in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort Counties.
