Pacific Convenience & Fuels Adopts Gilbarco Applause TV With Outcast

The digital forecourt marketing solution will become standard at all new PC&F locations.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Pacific Convenience & Fuels LLC (PC&F) plans to install Gilbarco Applause TV with Outcast as the standard digital forecourt marketing solution at its new locations, Gilbarco announced. Some California and Colorado locations already have the system, and it is currently being installed at Denver International Airport.

"Applause TV provides us with a strong technology solution to engage consumers and easily adjust our message on a site-by-site basis," said Tony Grossi, construction manager at PC&F. "It was also important to us to offer consumers coupons at the forecourt during the fueling session to enhance our site-specific promotions and national content from Outcast. This ability separated Applause TV from the other solutions we considered."

Applause TV provides third-party national advertising, retailer advertising, news and entertainment content on large color screens embedded in gas pumps, as well as customer interaction and on-demand coupons at fuel dispensers.

Programming for Applause TV includes content from CBS, ABC, Comedy Central, Warner Bros. Pictures and more than 20 other content providers, plus community-oriented content such as Amber Alerts, as CSNews Online previously reported.

"PC&F is a leading retailer in the industry and we are excited to help them achieve their business goals with Applause TV," stated Mark Williams, marketing manager, fuel dispenser applications at Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "Applause TV remains the first and only interactive, turnkey forecourt digital media solution available to any site, anywhere in the United States. We look forward to collaborating with PC&F to evolve the features/capabilities of this new and exciting forecourt marketing channel over time."

Gilbarco will exhibit Applause TV at the 2011 NACS Show in Chicago from October 2-4, the company said.

Pacific Convenience & Fuels operates convenience stores and gas stations in California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Washington, and is Circle K's largest franchisee with more than 200 branded stores in operation.
