Open Pantry Gains HR Manager

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- Open Pantry Food Marts of Wisconsin, Inc., signed Nicole Stone to its management team as the human resources manager. In this position, she will oversee the company's training, retention and overall strategic growth plans.

In addition, her primary goal will be working with the company's employees to create a positive, fun and safe place to work, along with encouraging employees to focus on the company's vision, mission, and seven core culture values. She will also be responsible for compliance with all state and federal workplace regulations.

"Nicole has the rare combination of c-store HR experience coupled with best practices from outside the industry," said president and CEO of Open Pantry, Robert A. Buhler. "It is her appreciation of the difficulties of frontline operations, and the high standards required of the operators that will create value for Open Pantry as she leads our human resources department."

Stone brings several years of HR experience to Open Pantry, including five years as a recruiter for Potawatomi Bingo Casino and two years as the HR manager for Swatek Sales Corp. Her educational background consists of a bachelors in business management from Cardinal Strich University and a PHR certification. Stone is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA), where she uses her resources to develop new standards in human resources.

Open Pantry Food Marts of Wisconsin, Inc. was established in 1967 and currently operates a chain of over 33 convenience stores in Wisconsin. The company also serves 15 dealers and three franchisees. Its fuel sites sell over 40 million gallons of CITGO and BP fuel annually and have annual sales of over $130 million.
