WESTPORT, Conn. — Restaurant and retail consultancy King-Casey has "significantly expanded its services to the restaurant world," according to Principal Tom Cook, who specifically cited the addition of Kevin Armstrong to head the addition of new capabilities in data analytics.
A 37-year veteran of the restaurant industry, Armstrong has served as CEO of Cosi, president of Long John Silver's and chief marketing officer of Subway. He has also consulted with Fortune 50 and emerging companies in business strategy, marketing strategy and execution, customer satisfaction, operational improvement and turnaround management.
"Kevin's experience in data analytics will be particularly helpful to our clients," Cook said, adding that Armstrong will guide a team that uses revenue and profitability analysis to identify growth opportunities in menu item prioritization and simplification. The team will also forecast menu and promotional performance revenue and profitability. "The deep data dive is here to stay for smart chains, and we have the tools to make data work for our clients."
Westport-based King-Casey is a pioneer in retail consulting, branding and design, according to the company. Its proprietary COZI discipline enables clients to optimize menu boards, store environments and customer zone communications.
In addition to data analytics, King-Casey has consulting practice areas that specialize in consumer insights, menu board optimization, path to purchase and foodservice operations.
