Swiss Farms Adds More Meal Solutions

Fresh-prepared food line expands to include signature meals.

BROOMALL, Pa. — Swiss Farms has expanded Fresh Solutions, its freshly prepared meal line, with the addition of signature meals.

The Delaware County-based drive-thru market also hired Justin Vignola as director of fresh food/new product development to head up development of the line.

"We are very excited to welcome Justin to the Swiss Farms family," said Scott Simon, CEO of Swiss Farms. "This is another in a series of steps to move our stores in a new direction and we think Justin is instrumental in helping to forge this fresh food journey forward."

New to the menu, fully prepared, healthful meals by Modern Palate under 600 calories are available at Swiss Farms. Starting Nov. 7, the meals will be priced at an introductory price of $7.99 for the week. Options include blackened chicken, chicken parmesan, meatloaf, grilled flat iron steak or pulled pork, each of which includes two sides.

Fresh Solutions also includes the Swiss Signature Deli Salads, Dips, Hoagies and Soups line. Salads start at $3.99 and include cranberry chicken salad, home-style chicken salad, Lancaster County egg salad and albacore tuna salad. Homemade buffalo chicken or spinach artichoke dip are available for $6.99; turkey and Swiss cheese hoagies are available for $7.99; and Italian hoagies for $8.99.

In addition, three on-the-go soup options include broccoli cheddar, hearty chili and tasty chicken noodle in 16-ounce containers for $4.59.

According to Swiss Farms, the company will continue to  develop and add to the menu with Vignola's assistance in his newly created role. He will serve as the purchasing decision maker and act as in-house chef, testing and crafting various items in the kitchen.

Before joining Swiss Farms, Vignola spent a decade in the foodservice industry in positions ranging from sous chef to director of dining services. He has opened multiple restaurants and holds a degree in culinary arts from the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College.

Swiss Farms operates 13 drive-thru market locations in Pennsylvania.
