    Gulf Steps Up to the Plate With Red Sox & Mets

    Partnerships promote its Power Points rewards program.

    WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. — Gulf Oil has entered exclusive partnerships with the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox to promote Gulf’s online shopping rewards program, Power Points.

    Now through Sept. 2, consumers who enroll in Power Points will automatically be entered for a chance to win tickets to see the 2015 National League Champion New York at Citi Field or see the Boston Red Sox play at Fenway Park from atop the Green Monster.

    Two winners per digital marketing program will be randomly selected each month during the sweepstakes period to receive game tickets.

    The digital marketing program will deliver more than 2.5 million impressions in New York and Boston through a combination of banner advertisements, social media posts and emails from Gulf, the Mets and the Red Sox, Gulf said in a company statement.

    Enrollment in Power Points earns members one dollar in “Power Points,” which is worth one dollar of Gulf gasoline. Power Points users can redeem their points for Gulf gift cards, or to pay their Gulf Orange Card balance.

    Gulf Oil LP owns and operates 17 proprietary terminals, as well as supplies wholesale product through 75 other terminals. It is a distributor of motor fuels — both gasoline and diesel — to more than 1,750 branded outlets and 1,000 private label retail outlets operated by major chain retailers.
