Acosta Fresh Division Grows With Two Acquisitions

    Transactions boost Midwest operations.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Consumer packaged goods sales and marketing agency Acosta Sales & Marketing significantly expanded its coverage area in the Midwest with the newly announced acquisitions of St. Louis Park, Minn.-based Baldwin & Mattson Inc. and Farmington, Mich.-based Neher Sales & Marketing. These two agency acquisitions will be integral in expanding Acosta’s already rapidly growing Fresh division.

“Our goal is to align Acosta with other leading agencies to deepen strong, local relationships,” said Robert Hill, president and CEO of Acosta. “Together with Baldwin & Mattson and Neher Sales & Marketing, we will be able to provide unmatched personalized service to manufacturers and retailers in the Midwest.”

Jacksonville-based Acosta Sales & Marketing has provided a range of sales, marketing and retail merchandising services throughout the United States and Canada for more than 85 years. Its Fresh platform, operating nationwide, provides integrated sales and marketing solutions combined with in-store execution for all perimeter categories including meat, seafood, produce, deli and bakery.

Jim Mattson, president of Baldwin & Mattson, said partnering with Acosta provides tremendous benefits for both its associates and clients. “We are excited to offer best-in-class training and career advancement opportunities for our associates.”

Joining forces with Acosta will allow Neher to provide its clients with new resources to drive growth and sales, added Dan Neher, president of Neher Sales & Marketing.

“Our team is looking forward to becoming part of Acosta’s culture focused on people, teamwork, trust and results," he said.
