Merchandise optimization solutions provider Revionics Inc. has entered into a multiyear agreement with Houchens Food Group to use its price management, price optimization, analytics and other solutions.
Part of Houchens Industries’ portfolio of holdings, Houchens Food Group wanted the ability to streamline and manage multiple formats of the business, protect sales and increase operating income using a robust solution to manage rules and optimize across its business.
Bowling Green, Ky.-based Houchens operates more than 400 convenience stores and supermarkets; its retail banners include Food Giant, Buehler’s Food Markets, IGA and Price Le$$ Foods.
Houchens chose Revionics to manage its entire pricing workflow from end to end, better align high-level business strategies with pricing efforts and achieve margin goals while becoming more competitive on price. In addition, pricing will now be more in sync with shoppers’ preferences and purchasing behavior, further strengthening its price image.
Revionics is enabling Houchens to move away from manual pricing processes to more shopper-centric, targeted and automated pricing. This empowers Houchens’ category and pricing teams to spend more time on higher-level strategic efforts and to better understand and strategically react to shopper behavior and provides them with a stronger competitive advantage and stronger customer loyalty.
