    Sprint Foods Uses App to Create Engaging Promotions

    OpenStore solution targets proprietary foodservice.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. — Sprint Foods is reaching out to customers and promoting new products through its partnership with OpenStore by GasBuddy.

    The digital solution created channels for Sprint Foods to create and expand their loyal customer base, the company said.

    "We first wanted to have our own mobile app as a way to differentiate ourselves from the other convenience stores," said Sprint Foods Marketing Director Anna Felz.

    The c-store chain used the launch of the app as an opportunity to promote its proprietary Fountain Frenzy and Café beverages. Consumers received targeted deals directly through their phones for downloading the app.

    "OpenStore gave us a way to change the perspective of the c-store, and have a way to connect with the customers on a regular, frequent basis," Felz said. "OpenStore gave us a way to do that seamlessly and easily."

    Sprint Foods uses the app to send specials and coupons tailored to its Metro Market concept, providing consumers with deals and bringing them into the stores.
