    VP’s Retail Brand Program Gains More Partners

    Fuel provider teams up with three distributors and an equipment provider.

    SAN ANTONIO -- VP Racing Fuels joined forces with three new partners for its retail brand program and inked an agreement with a fourth company to provide equipment. The fuel provider is teaming up with D&D Energy Group Inc., Hallum Fuel Distributing, TAC Energy and Wayne, a GE Business.

    D&D Energy is the largest Sunoco distributor in the Southeastern United States, operating in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

    “We’re excited to become a VP distributor for several reasons,” said Dean Dorminey, president of D&D. “VP’s credit card rates are a big plus to save our dealers money and the program allows us to seek unbranded supply for our stores at a competitive price. It’s also nice to bring additional profit centers to our dealers with VP’s race fuel, specialty fuels and fuel additives."

    Hallum Fuel Distributing provides fuel distribution services in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado, and represents an opportunity for VP Racing Fuels to expand its reach in the Southwest.

    “Acceptance of the VP brand by Steve Hallum and his team of veterans proves the need for alternative branding solutions in an ever-changing and competitive nationwide fuel market," said Alan Cerwick, president of VP Racing Fuels. "Based on the value VP’s program brings to their business and their growing dealer base, Hallum expects to brand seven to eight VP stores very quickly and grow from there.”

    One of the nation's largest fuel wholesalers, TAC Energy, also agreed to supply fuel to VP Fuel-branded retail stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth and East Texas areas.

    “We’re always seeking organic growth, so it made perfect sense to help fuel VP’s strategy for success by offering a lower cost of supply,” said Derrick Maynard, sales manager for TAC Energy. “We see tremendous benefits in VP’s program for their retailers. With a lower cost of supply, coupled with additional revenue streams from VP’s fuel additives -- both packaged and blended inline at the pump -- and additional savings in credit card processing fees, VP’s brand program offers compelling advantages for its brand partners.”

    Finally, VP Racing struck a deal with Wayne to provide equipment for sites across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and southern United States. Selected sites will receive Wayne Ovation fuel dispensers equipped with the inOvationTV media platform.
