    A New Year Brings New Look for Combos

    Mars retained branding firm to update the packaging, giving the snack food a new identity.

    HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Combos Baked Snacks is ushering in the new year with a new look. The updated identity and new packaging graphics come after Mars, Inc. retained

    CAG BrandFirst to give the snack food a makeover. CAG BrandFirst began with the logo, highlighting the oven-baked quality of Combos. Then came the packaging -- featuring striking color combinations, new product photography and improved appetite appeal for each flavor.

    The new Combos Baked Snacks launched at the end of December after receiving high marks in nationwide testing. Implementation of the new design spanned all SKUs, including 10 peg bags, seven singles and three snack-size packs. Packaging was also developed for Limited Edition items and Big Bags for club stores. Additional work included cartons, shippers, in-store OPO/POS displays and sales material.
