New NACS App Keeps Industry Connected at NACStech

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- NACS has unveiled a new NACStech mobile app to improve the user experience at NACStech, the convenience and fuel retailing industry's only technology-related event.

More than 1,200 attendees are expected at this year's NACStech, which will take place May 21-23 in Nashville, Tenn. The event will feature two general sessions, the annual concurrent PCATS/Convenience Store News CIO Roundtable sessions, more than a dozen focused workshops and 100 exhibits. For the third consecutive year, CSNews is the exclusive media sponsor for NACStech.

The free NACStech mobile app is available in native and web-based forms, and includes detailed event information, speaker bios for general sessions and workshops, comprehensive listings of the exhibitors, an interactive expo map with routing to booths, integration of social media and trending of the #nacstech Twitter feed. The NACStech app also includes in-app QR code scanning, allowing attendees to scan and retrieve information directly into the app.

NACStech educational sessions will cover topics including technology project management; benchmarking data; mobile couponing and payment; mobile, social and loyalty marketing; payment platform standards; point-of-sale (POS) trends; data mining; PCI network design; and item-level inventory.

The NACStech expo will feature POS systems, fuel equipment, automation consultants, cash-handling systems, software vendors, electronic displays, kiosks, knowledge management, loyalty programs, mobile applications, personnel software systems, security services, card processing systems, training services, and wireless and networking services.

The NACStech mobile app is compatible with the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, iPad, iPod Touch and other smartphones. It can be downloaded -- free of charge -- by accessing the iTunes library and Android market. The app also can be downloaded for compatible smartphones at m.core-apps.com/nacstech2012.
