National Association of Shell Marketers Appoints President

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM) promoted Jennifer Richards to president; Richards served as the interim executive director since the May 15, 2009, departure of Darrell Smith.

"I am delighted to have been chosen to continue NASM's work with Shell marketers and would like to thank the NASM board of directors for this opportunity," Richards said.

Jennifer has worked at NASM since 2004 in the positions of manager of membership and administrative services and director of external affairs. Prior to her employment at NASM, she worked for the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association in the membership department. She received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Idaho.

The law firm of Taylor & Powell LLC will continue as legal counsel to the association. Bill Taylor and Russ Powell have provided legal advice and representation to petroleum marketers for over 30 years and have served as legal counsel to NASM and its predecessor organizations since 2000.
