Mutual Oil Hires Petroleum Industry Veteran

BROCKTON, Mass. -- A well-known veteran of the petroleum industry in the Northeast, Norman Manchester, joined the sales team of Brockton-based Mutual Oil Co. Inc. as a marketing representative, the company reported.

"With more than 17 years in the petroleum business, Norman Manchester has an in depth understanding of the industry," Jonathan Shaer, Mutual Oil's vice president of sales said in a released statement. "I have had the opportunity to work closely with him as a vendor for our company. He has a strong customer service orientation and the skill sets that are an excellent match for us."

Before coming to Mutual Oil, Manchester was the Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island salesperson for Wildco, the New England regional petroleum equipment company, where he was responsible for working with gasoline station owners, fuel suppliers and contractors as he managed installations and upgrade projects, the company reported.

Prior to Wildco, Manchester was with Ten Hoeve Bros. where he sold managed maintenance services and field supervision of all corporate Exxon stations in the New England market. He began his career at Cumberland Farms retail gasoline operation, where his performance earned him rapid promotions.

"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to join the Mutual Oil Co. team, the leading independent gasoline distributor in the Northeast," Manchester said in a released statement. "Having worked in this region for a long time, I have worked with them and know how their independent dealers hold them in high regard."
