Murphy USA Marks Milestone of 1,200 Stores

EL DORADO, Ark. – Murphy USA Inc. will open its 1,200th store tomorrow, Dec. 11, in its hometown of El Dorado, Ark. A grand-opening celebration will take place starting at 6 a.m. at the new location at 2720 N. West Ave.

"We are excited to achieve the 1,200th milestone by opening this site near our company headquarters, which allows us to bring quality, affordable fuel to our neighbors and surrounding communities," said Murphy USA President and CEO Andrew Clyde. "We plan to continue our high standard of customer service and retail operations in our hometown of El Dorado."

The milestone store features Murphy's new larger design format, which expands the space for traditional snack, tobacco and beverage offerings to include cold beverage dispensers, coffee and cappuccino, along with a greater variety of snacks and non-food items, according to the company.

The site has eight gasoline and two diesel dispensers and offers E15 and E85 for flex-fuel vehicles. As is customary for all new Murphy stores, it will initially be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to the existing 1,200 stores in Murphy USA's network, 18 more sites are currently under construction.
