Murphy Oil Names Two New VPs

EL DORADO, Ark. -- Murphy Oil Corp. promoted two of its executives to vice president posts.

Kevin Fitzgerald was promoted to executive vice president and will continue to serve as CFO. Fitzgerald is a 29-year veteran of the company and began with its contract drilling subsidiary. A certified public accountant, he received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans. In his new role, Fitzgerald reports to David Wood, Murphy Oil's president and CEO.

John Eckart was named senior vice president, and will remain as the company's controller. Eckart, also a CPA, joined Murphy Oil in 1990 as its auditing manager. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas. Eckart reports to Fitzgerald in his new role.

Murphy Oil operates more than 1,000 Murphy USA gas stations and convenience stores throughout the South and Midwest.
