    Murphy Oil To Deploy LCD at the Pump

    The company is partnering with Gas Station TV and ABC for installation at 400 sites.

    NEW MILFORD, Conn. -- Murphy Oil will be offering 20-inch high-definition, daylight viewable LCD's at their gas pumps to entertain and inform customers while they fill up, according to a press release issue by Magenta, a leader in the adaptive distribution and switching of video/audio/serial signals over Cat5 cable, who will be supplying the MultiView Series Cat5 transmitters, multi-port transmitters, distribution hubs and receivers to the project.

    The gasoline pump dynamic signage is being deployed by Gas Station TV, based in Oak Park, Mich., following extensive, comparison pilot testing at Murphy Oil locations in Dallas.

    Following extensive, comparison pilot testing at Murphy Oil locations in Dallas, 400 stations are scheduled for dynamic signage installations by the end of 2006. Additionally, Gas Station TV has contracted with ABC to provide content, such as "News You Can Use" segments, local news, weather and traffic updates.
