MillerCoors Raises $4.8M for St. Jude

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- MillerCoors raised more than $4.78 million for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in October during its 17th annual St. Jude MillerCoors Halloween Promotion, when participating restaurants and retail outlets collected $1 donations by selling pumpkin-themed pinups, which the establishment displayed throughout October, the company stated.

"MillerCoors is proud to support this fundraiser and partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in saving children’s lives," Bryce McTavish, vice president of MillerCoors retail marketing, said in a statement.

MillerCoors adopted the St. Jude Halloween Promotion as its official national Halloween project in 1994, and since its participation in the fundraiser began in 1992, MillerCoors, its distributors and retailers have raised more than $41 million for the nonprofit.

"We are so grateful to MillerCoors and the other Halloween Promotion partners for your commitment to our patients and their families," said David L. McKee, chief operating officer and interim CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude. "The Halloween Promotion began 17 years ago as a small, grassroots fundraiser. But thanks to the support of MillerCoors, it has become a national program that helps fund the pioneering research taking place at St. Jude – research that will save the lives of children around the world."
