McLane Foodservice, Hunt Brothers Appoint New Executives

CARROLLTON, Texas -- McLane Foodservice appointed Scott Siers vice president of business development, charging him with new business growth.

Siers holds more than 23 years of experience in sales development and marketing in the foodservice industry. The last seven years of his career have been with PepsiCo, where he held key roles in brand positioning, business development and general management. Most recently, Siers served as vice president of industry relations and business development, and led sales and marketing activities for all PepsiCo brands within the restaurant and hospitality industry.

"Scott's restaurant industry relationships and track record in developing new business uniquely position him to act as a catalyst for growing our foodservice business. We are glad to have him join our team," said Susan Adzick, McLane's vice president of sales and marketing.

Siers serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the Society for Foodservice Management and The Restaurant Leadership Advisory Board. He has been the recipient of the International Foodservice Manufacturer Association's President's Award and IFMA's Key Person Award. Most recently, he received the Society for Foodservice Management's 2009 Robert Pacifico Above and Beyond Award.

Meanwhile, Hunt Brothers Pizza named Keith Solsvig vice president of marketing. Solsvig brings more than 15 years of marketing experience, including eight years working in the convenience store industry.

"Keith has extensive experience in our niche market of convenience stores and has strategic marketing skills that have earned him tremendous respect in the industry," said Scott Hunt, CEO of Hunt Brothers Pizza. "We are proud to have Keith at our company in this marketing leadership role."

Before joining Hunt Brothers Pizza, Solsvig worked for Tyson Foods, where he managed Grilled & Ready consumer products, as well as its convenience store, drug store and dollar channels marketing efforts. He's worked to created a number of successful c-store marketing initiatives, including ExxonMobil's On the Run Café Breakfast Sandwich line. Prior to that, he served as foodservice category manger for Thornton Oil Co. and as the regional marketing director for Aramark Campus Services.
