    Maverik Selects TelaPoint

    Software provider will manage company's fuel operations.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Maverik Inc., operator of nearly 180 convenience stores in the western U.S., selected TelaPoint Inc., an Internet supply chain software provider, for its TelaFuel Internet software suite to streamline and manage its fuel operations.

    Through TelaFuel, Maverick will use TelaPoint's Smart Replenishment, Smart Scheduling, Smart Buying and Smart Invoicing systems. TelaFuel is a browser-based application suite and will improve the company's management of fuel purchasing, replenishment, truck logistics and invoice reconciliation throughout its chain of stores located in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

    "Our decision to implement TelaPoint's Internet supply chain solution supports our business strategy to improve operational controls, automate our fleet operation and continue to improve our overall fuel operation," said Bob Carpentier, executive director of petroleum operations for Maverik. "TelaFuel gives us the ability to be more proactive to the fast-changing petroleum market. The combination of TelaFuel's technology and our staff's fuel management knowledge will enable us to maximum efficiencies within our fuel operation."

    TelaPoint users have secure access through browser-based applications, for timely and accurate communications with trading partners.
