COPPELL, Texas -- After a recent promotion that reduced gas prices by 20 cents per gallon and a March 7, giveaway of free drinks and coupons, gourmet supermarket operator Market Street is going one step further by offering Dallas/Fort Worth residents "Free Fuel."
For six weeks, Market Street shoppers here will earn 10 cents off every gallon of gas at the grocer's A Taste of Market Street's fuel station for every $25 they spend while shopping inside the Coppell-Lewisville store.
"After seeing how many people participated in our last fuel promotion and hearing about how much the additional savings helped, we wanted to help Market Street guests save big while offering more relief at the pump," Curtis Comer, store director at Coppell-Lewisville’s Market Street, a gourmet grocery store, said in a statement.
Market Street shoppers spending $150 on weekly groceries between March 25, and May 5, will have the opportunity to save 60 cents per gallon at the pump, or just about $11 per fill-up. The store combines everyday groceries with specialty, whole-health and gourmet products and prepared foods.
"We want the smile our guests received inside the store to carry over to the fuel station at A Taste of Market Street," Comer said in the statement.
The A Taste of Market Street concept is a mini version of Market Street, set on the larger stores' parking lot and designed for quick access and convenience. It offers a fuel station, bakery products, gourmet meals to go, fresh produce and other items found inside the main store, plus a drive-thru window.
The Coppell-Lewisville location opened in January and is one of five Market Street stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area operated by United Supermarkets LLC. United Supermarkets is a Texas-based, family-owned grocery chain with stores in 29 markets across north and west Texas. A self-distributing company with its headquarters and distribution center in Lubbock, United currently operates 49 stores under three distinct formats: United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United.
