BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- MAPCO Express signed a three-year software agreement with PeopleAnswers to use the latter's human resources software solution to assist in selecting and hiring corporate positions and store-level staff.
According to Dallas-based PeopleAnswers, MAPCO, which has about 375 convenience stores in seven states, will use the software to prescreen and assess new team members at its corporate office and in all retail locations, including customer-facing positions such as sales associates and customer service leaders.
"When customers visit a MAPCO store, they want to come in, have a great experience and receive outstanding service," said Jennifer Boulton, MAPCO's vice president of organizational development. "As we continue to seek best practices to improve our processes, we selected PeopleAnswers as an easy-to-use tool that helps our recruiters and hiring managers build teams of people who deliver service that will keep customers coming back."
Gabriel Goncalves, CEO and president of PeopleAnswers, added that many retailers that have already used the software solution have experienced better employee retention. "PeopleAnswers will help support MAPCO's goal to improve its human resources processes with a consistent, efficient pre-employment assessment solution," he said.

PeopleAnswers offers patented web-based talent assessment systems to retailers, as well as the financial services, health care, hospitality and property management industries.
