RICHMOND, Va. -- Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores (MACS), the 71-store Circle K-branded c-store chain which operates in Virginia and Maryland, is the newest retailer to join the OpenStore platform. Circle K is the internationally known U.S. brand of Alimentation Couche-Tard, the Canada-based convenience store chain.
A new branded Mid-Atlantic Circle K website, with pages for each store, officially rolled out earlier this month, and the free Circle K mobile application (app) is now available. The app showcases updated gas prices, locations, in-store promotions. Customers send feedback from their mobile phone, review job postings, and receive time-sensitive electronic mobile coupons.
"We are excited to partner with OpenStore on the development of our mobile and social media platforms," said Derek Gaskins, senior vice president of marketing and merchandising at MACS. "As we introduce the Circle K brand throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, we are confident that our mobile app will help us connect and engage with consumers."
Added Jason Toews, co-founder and CEO of OpenStore by GasBuddy: "We help our clients identify new opportunities, make choices between those opportunities and optimize their customer experiences to attain and sustain market leadership," OpenStore is a complete turnkey social technology solution that will support Circle K's strategies to reach their customers with targeted marketing and powerful messaging, according to Toews.
Mid-Atlantic Convenience Stores (MACS) is composed of company-owned and dealer operated locations along with a wholesale fuel distribution network. MACS has approximately 300 locations throughout Virginia and Maryland.
